Ellie, who has been working with us for nearly four years has been promoted to Management Accountant to support our growth strategy.
Starting as a Bookkeeper in 2021, Ellie progressed to Accountant in 2023 and after proving herself alongside completing her AAT Level 4 Qualification she’s taking the next step in her career with SiteZone.
We caught up with Ellie to find out how she landed into the world of accounting and what she’s most looking forward to in the new position.
Ellie Gibbons said,
"I fell into finance by accident! In a previous company I worked in a few temp roles in sales, then contracts, and when an opening came up in accounts, I went for it and never looked back! I moved to SiteZone in 2021 and what’s different about this company is everyone that works here genuinely cares about what we do - all conversations come back to keeping someone safe.
I’m really looking forward to working closely with the board providing analysis to help them make the right strategic choices for the business moving forward. I also love this time of year as we’re budgeting for 2026, and then before we know it, we’ll be working on the end of year Accounts in January! It’s a varied role and one of my favourite projects this year has been our carbon footprint analysis. After making such a big improvement this year we’ll be focusing on areas we can make small improvements that will add up to our reduction targets.”
