SiteZone Safety will be exhibiting at Let’s Recycle Live for the third time in 2022. Always a good event on the calendar and this year we’ll be showcasing our proximity warning systems, including soon to be launched upgraded telematics data platform, and our onboard weighing product for the first time.
We work closely with large and small organisations across the breadth of the waste, environment, and recycling sector including FCC Environment, Biffa, Veolia, Enva, Suez, and Viridor. This industry has safety at the forefront of what they do and many of the companies we work with have embedded SiteZone proximity warning systems into their organisations and it’s become a part of their standard operating procedures. We’ve innovated in collaboration with our waste partners to fit well into this type of site including the use of masking/limiting to limit the detection of people in segregated walkways where they are already safe and the development of BucketZone which enables the creation of a separate zone around the working equipment of the machine – the bucket.
This year we’ve got two demos on the stand for visitors:
- Our new data platform will be available for people to take a look at, interrogate, and see how you can take the data to make real improvements to your site safety. We’ve built this in Microsoft PowerBI to make it easier for our customers, many of whom already use this platform for other reporting. You can integrate it easily with other Microsoft tools for collaboration and sharing.
- Our resident weighing expert will be on the stand to give a demo of our onboard weighing system. With an accuracy of +/-2%, this weigher will make you more productive by getting loading right first time and reducing the need for trips back and forth from the weighbridge. And the other benefit of this, by reducing the number of vehicle movements you have to make you reduce the risks of people being struck by a moving vehicle – the second highest cause of workplace fatalities.
We’re talking on Day 2
We’ll be speaking in the Data & Digital Theatre on Day 2 of the event at 2.15pm about our latest innovation and joining a panel Q&A discussion. We’ll be showing how we worked with SUEZ to develop and trial a new technology using a ‘snapshot’ camera. The camera integrates with our SiteZone proximity warning system to provide a visual level of evidence of interaction between people and plant. When someone wearing a tag breaches a zone the camera sends a snapshot of before and after the incident to the cloud. This enables you to review the footage for analysis of how the zone breach occurred, helping you to get to the root cause of near misses.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Let’s Recycle Live as it’s back bigger than ever collaborating with RWM.
